ALICE IN WONDERLAND | Book redesign
ROLE: ART DIRECTION, ILLUSTRATOR, LETTERER, AND PRODUCTION
Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books. This had me laughing every time that I read it. This project was fun all the way through. I spent 4 weeks on the cover. Half of that time I spent lettering. I was able to utilize Illustrator and Photoshop to make composites as well as get a grasp on InDesign. I printed the book and learned all about the print process. This project took about 11 weeks.

INSPIRATION
I was going for a Pollock meets Dali kind of look. I wanted a lot of movement and action with line weight.

The color inside the uncolored rose and outside are the same. The optical mix makes it white in the book. Since I knew the printer would not print white on the tan paper I tested this out and it worked perfectly.
